Getting ready to fall...
... my beautiful autumn leaves. They are falling, all around. This morning I watched the big old maple tree outside my window let go of a few of hers. She sprinkled them gently about, as there was no breeze to take from her. She just let them fall. She didn't seem sad to be letting go. I was watching for that. But all I saw was a gentleness... she seemed resigned to her task, to this letting go calmly... tenderly. I learned something from that old, stately maple tree. Now, if I could just go back and do my own letting go again. I'd do it like she did. Gently... tenderly, calmly and dignified... resigned to the task and letting things fall where they may.
